Simona Kasprowicz (she/her) is a Warsaw-based artist and curator working across performance, moving image, sound, text, painting, and installation. Her practice draws on her own body, image, and biography, placing them in dialogue with religious iconography and popular culture. Across media, she examines how bodies and images are shaped, reproduced, exposed, and circulated. Her recent works include the performance Shekhinah in Labor (POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews, 2026), the feature-length essay film Fucking with Marilyn (2025), which received a Special Mention at the Hacker Porn Film Festival in 2026, and the solo exhibition I Just Wanted to Be an Icon (2025). From 2019 to 2024, she was part of the Camera Femina Foundation, serving as its president from 2022 to 2024 and co-curating its programme. In 2026, she founded the Margin Center Foundation. Her work has been presented at institutions and festivals including POLIN Museum, the Austrian Cultural Forum in Warsaw, Galeria Labirynt, lokal_30, and Konfrontacje Teatralne.
